Medical assistants perform both clinical and administrative duties. They are one of the most versatile members in health care. In this 10-week program, students will complete readings, assignments, and in class demonstrations to prepare them to complete duties such as:
- Check patients in and out upon arrival and departure
- Answer phone calls and questions
- Perform basic billing and coding procedures
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Assist with minor surgeries
- Administer injections or medications
- Work in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Perform EKG, phlebotomy, and laboratory procedures
- Take patient vital signs
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the NHA certification exam.

Course Schedule

- Sessions will be held MONDAY & WEDNESDAY.
- In house sessions will be from 5:30 PM – 9:30 pm
- Class length – 10 weeks
- Online hybrid session: Time to be determined per instructor
